How to Change Your Email Password

Last updated June, 2019

  1. Login to our client support area, MySky:
    1. https://ceilingsky.com/mysky/
  2. View your active products/services. One way to do this is to navigate to Services -> My Services using the menu bar running across the top of the page.
  3. Locate the domain you wish to manage and click on the button that says "Active".
  4. Click on the icon that says "Email Accounts".
    1. This will log you in to the cPanel for the domain in question.
  5. Locate the email account you wish to manage and click the button that says "Manage".
  6. Enter a new password of your choice or, even better, click the button that says "Generate" to create a random, secure password.
    1. Make sure to copy your new password down and save it in a safe place!
  7. Scroll down and click the button that says "Update Email Settings".

Note: It is very, very important that you choose a password that is long and random and that ideally, consists of a mix of upper and lower case letters, numbers, and symbols. You should choose a password that is unique - one that you have not used for any other on-line accounts. We understand that a simpler password might be easier for you to remember, but it is not secure and puts your email account at risk.

Note: Once you have changed your password, you must update it in ALL of the  email clients you are using. Make sure to update it on any computer, tablet, smart phone, etc., that you use to check the email account in question. If you accidentally forget to enter your new password into one of your devices, and that device continues to try and login to the email account, your IP could get blocked and you would lose access to the server hosting your email.
